1. The promoter

Nedbank Limited, registration number 1951/000009/06 (we, us, our), runs this competition.

2. Competition period

The competition starts at 08:00 on 12 October and ends at 23:59 on 26 November 2026 (competition period). Each month will have specific dates to enter the competition for that month, they are the following:

2.1 October entries: 13 October 8:00 – 27 October 23:59

2.2 November Entries: 1November 8:00 – 26 November 23:59

3. Who can and cannot participate in the competition

3.1 A participant (you, your) must:

3.1.1 be 18 years or older;

3.1.2 have a South African ID document or card; and

3.1.3 be a registered user on Facebook, TikTok or X (Social Media Platforms).

3.2 The following persons are not eligible to participate in the competition:

3.2.1 our employees (including temporary and contract employees) or their business partners or immediate family (spouse, partner, parents, siblings and children, including adopted children, but not step or half relations), directors, members, associated companies, agents, contractors, consultants, sponsors or marketing service providers;

3.2.2 any person who does not meet the eligibility criteria set out in clause 3.1.

4. How to enter

4.1   To stand a chance to win the prize, you must do the following during the competition period:

4.1.1 On Facebook or X, post a comment in response to the Competition post, upload your video entry, and include the hashtag #NedbankXtraTime in your comment; or

4.1.2 On TikTok, upload your video entry, tag Nedbank's official TikTok account, and include the hashtag #NedbankXtraTime in your post.

4.1.3 Each week during the Competition Period, three (3) participants will be selected and placed on the leaderboard. Points will be awarded as follows:

4.1.4 At the end of each competition month, the 3 participants with the highest cumulative scores on the leaderboard will be declared the Monthly Champions and will each receive a prize.

4.1.5 Entries must be made by the participant personally and must not be submitted via automated means or on behalf of another person.

5. The prize

5.1 In October, participants stand a chance to win a 1 of 3 kit-upgrade worth R 5 000 each for items shown in the video.

5.2 In November, participants stand a chance to win 1 of 3 Nedbank Cup season tickets (excluding accommodation and travel).

6. Selection of the winners

6.1 The random computer-generated draw to select the participants ,who will earn points according to the leaderboard, will take place via Microsoft Teams and will be recorded on the following dates:

6.1.1 October Draws:

• Week 1 - 16 October
• Week 2 - 23 October
• Week 3 – 30 October

6.1.2 November draws:

• Week 1 - 06 November
• Week 2 - 13 November
• Week 3 - 20 November
• Week 4 – 1 December

6.2 If you win, the following applies:

6.2.1 You will receive the prize only once we have verified and confirmed your details, including your compliance with these terms and conditions.

6.2.2 You may not win more than one prize during this competition.

6.2.3 We may require you to provide certain information and supporting documentation to verify your identity and eligibility before awarding the prize. This may include, amongst others:

6.2.3.1 A copy of your valid South Africa identity document or card;

6.2.3.2Contact number;

6.2.3.3 Proof of address; and

6.2.3.4 E-mail address.

6.2.4 All information and documentation provided must be complete, accurate and correspond with each other. We reserve the right to verify all details provided.

6.2.5 The social media account used to enter the competition must belong to you and must not be used on behalf of, or represent, another person. The username and account details submitted must correspond with the identity of the participant.

6.2.6 If you fail to provide the required information within the timeframe specified, or if any information provided is false, inconsistent, misleading or does not correspond, we may disqualify you and select an alternative winner.

6.2.7 We will send you a direct message via your social-media account within five business days of the draw date and ask for your contact details (for example your email address and cell phone number).

6.2.8 We will try to contact you a maximum of two times. If we cannot get hold of you after the second try, you will forfeit the prize, and we will choose a new winner.

6.2.9 We will not be responsible for any technical failures affecting your participation in the competition or if your entry has been left out from participation.

6.2.10 If a dispute arises, our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of the competition, and we will not discuss the matter further.

6.2.11 All costs or expenses relating to the prize that have not been mentioned here are excluded.

6.2.12 We will not be responsible for any delays in your taking up the prize.

6.2.13 We will not be responsible for any additional conditions that third parties impose.

6.2.14 We will give the prize directly to you and not to anyone else.

6.2.15 We will not be liable for delays or failure to deliver any part of the prize resulting from acts beyond our reasonable control. We will let you know as soon as reasonably possible if your prize is affected in this way.

6.2.16 We reserve the right to replace the prize at any time with another of similar commercial value.

7. General

7.1 All the information about the competition, including information that is published on any competition material, is part of these terms and conditions.

7.2 By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

7.3 These terms and conditions are available on our website at nedbank.co.za throughout the competition period.

7.4 If you win, we may ask you to consent in writing to endorsing, promoting and advertising any of our services, without payment. If you decline our request, you will still receive the prize.

7.5 By entering the competition, you acknowledge that your personal information needed for this competition will be shared with us and our agents, but only to the extent necessary for the competition. Your personal information will be used in line with South African consumer and data protection laws.

7.6 We may extend, shorten or cancel the competition immediately and without notifying you if it is permitted by law, if we must do so by law, or for reasons beyond our control. If this happens, you will give up any rights that you may have in terms of this competition and you will have no recourse against us or our agents, contractors or sponsors as a result of the extension, shortening or cancellation.

7.7 We or our directors, employees, agents or suppliers will not be responsible for any direct or indirect loss or damage resulting from your participation in the competition, or for any accident, injury, harm, damages, costs or death that you or any other person who participates in the prize sustains at any point during the fulfilment of the prize.
