1. The promoter

Nedbank Limited, registration number 1951/000009/06 (we, us, our), runs this competition. We reserve the right to make it available the only certain Nedbank clients.

2. Competition period

The competition starts on 15 January and ends on 2 May 2026 (“the competition period”).

3. Who can and cannot participate in the competition

3.1 A participant (you, your) must:

3.1.1 be 18 years or older;

3.1.2 have a South African ID;

3.1.3 ensure that your Nedbank personal loan account is in good standing, which means that it may not be in arrears or have been handed over for legal collection.

3.2 Our employees (including temporary and contract employees), associated companies, agents, contractors, and sponsors may not participate in the competition.

4. How to enter

4.1 To stand a chance to win the prize, you must apply and be granted a personal loan (excluding Nedbank Quick Loans) after 1 December 2025 to 2 May 2026. 

5. The prize

5.1 Winners will receive a prize equal to their original loan amount (excluding interest, costs and fees). For winners with an original loan amount of more than R50000 the payout will be capped at a maximum amount of R50 000.

5.1.1 The original loan amount will be credited to the winner’s Nedbank personal loan account, matching the original personal loan amount taken (excluding interest, costs and fees) subject to the maximum amount of R 50 000.

5.1.2 If the total amount paid into the Nedbank personal loan account exceeds the total outstanding balance, the surplus funds shall be paid to the winner into the account used for initiating the debit order.

5.2.3 Participants can only win once during the entire competition period, not once per round. If you win, you cannot win again, even if you take another loan. Taking up another loan doesn’t qualify participants for multiple entries.

6. Selection Criteria

6.1 Each Round (Round of 32, Round of 16, Quarter Final, Semi Final, Final) has a set number of winners per group, e.g. 10 in Group 1, 2 in Groups 2–4, and 1-5 in Group 5. Matches will be played on the dates stipulated in the table below but are subject to change.

6.2 After each Round, the first digit of the goal scorer’s jersey number is matched to the first digit of the participants’ loan amounts. (E.g., if #3 scores, all participants with loans starting with 3,000–3,999, 30,000–39,999, etc., are eligible to be entered into a draw for that round).

8.1 Winners will be selected by a randomised computer-generated draw which will take place on the following dates:

3 March 2026
17 March 2026
14 April 2026
12 May 2026

8.2 If you win, the following applies:

8.1.1 You will receive the prize only once we have verified and confirmed your details, including your compliance with these terms and conditions.

8.1.2 Winners will receive an email and an SMS within ten (10) business days, confirming that they have won the competition.

8.1.3 Payments will be processed within ten (10) business days after all qualifying criteria have been met.

8.1.4 If a dispute arises, our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of the competition, and we will not discuss the matter further.

8.1.5 All costs or expenses relating to the prize that have not been mentioned here are excluded.

9. General

9.1 All the information about the competition, including information that is published on any competition material, is part of these terms and conditions.

9.2 By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

9.3 These terms and conditions are available on our website at nedbank.co.za throughout the competition period.

9.4 If you win, we may ask you to consent in writing to endorsing, promoting and advertising any of our services, without payment. If you decline our request, you will still receive the prize.

9.5 By entering the competition, you acknowledge that your personal information needed for this competition will be shared with us and our agents, but only to the extent necessary for the competition. Your personal information will be used in line with South African consumer and data protection laws.

9.6 We or our directors, employees, agents or suppliers will not be responsible for any direct or indirect loss or damage resulting from your participation in the competition, or for any accident, injury, harm, damages, costs or death that you or any other person who participates in the prize sustains at any point during the fulfilment of the prize.
